W-2 Form

A tax form employers issue to employees reporting annual wages and taxes withheld.

Employers are required to send W-2 forms to employees and the IRS by the end of January each year, summarizing total wages, and federal, state, and payroll taxes withheld during the prior year. Employees use this form to file their annual income tax return.
