Marginal Tax Rate

The tax rate applied to the last dollar of income earned, corresponding to your top tax bracket.

The marginal rate is useful for decisions about additional income, like whether extra freelance work or a bonus is worth it after tax, since it shows the rate on the next dollar earned rather than the average rate across all income.
